心智成长夏令营指出父母给孩子制造罪恶感，是希望孩子可以心系父母。那些在不健全家庭中成长的孩子，往往会认为，父母的不幸都是自己造成的；还有些孩子可能只是由于单纯的和父母顶撞了，或没有整理干净房屋、考试考不理想，就会自责，觉得对不起父母，并认为自己是“坏小孩”，以上现象，这些都是孩子有罪恶感的表现。

我们也许是在不自觉的情况下使用了这些伎俩，或小时候父母也是这样对待我们，所以觉得这样说“理所当然”。但请牢记，无论我们说什么、做什么，如果批评、贬低、羞辱到孩子的人格，都会对孩子的心理与自我价值造成伤害，北师大豆豆妈妈夏令营认为这种伤害远比他们的行为带给我们的困扰还要大。
