hey guys, how are you? haven't talked to you for a week, today i am going to introduce you something very interest and popular in hong kong. but before that i want to give you guys a little quiz: what do most of the hong kong do to spend their leisure time?

haha, the answer is: horse racing!!

in talking of horse racing, i have to mention about the hong kong jockey club, which is one of the oldest institutions in hong kong to promote the racing activities. it is a non-profit organization providing horse racing, sporting and betting entertainment locally. this organization is the largest taxpayer as well as the largest private donor of charity funds, contributing an average of over hk$1 billion every year over the past ten years.

regularly, the race will be hosted every wednesday and sunday, and whenever it is the race day, you can take the subways free of charge to go to the racecourse. and i went there a couple of times to try my luck, sadly, i never win...

anyway, horse racing is such thing that can bring all the hong kong people watch together and catch up with each other. it has already become a big social event rather than just to win the money, but of course winning is important!!

i guess if you are not 18 years old, you can not bet on those horses, but to come for a visit and feel the hot atmosphere in the racecourse is always an exciting thing to do.
