学大教育指出所谓的连锁记忆法既在遇到A、B、C、D、E等几个值得记忆的事物时，首先把A和B通过联想结合起来，其次把B和C通过联想结合起来，再次把C和D结合起来，进而是D和 E。这样把全体事物事先用联想结合起来形成一条锁链。如果这个联想进行的很顺利，则只要能把A这个事物想起来，其余的事物也会顺着联想的锁链接二连三地想起来。例如要想记住彼此间没有任何联系的下列几件事物：飞机、树、信封……，可把树想成一棵象飞机般在空中飞翔的大树，再把树想成一棵象飞机般在空中飞翔的大树，再把树想成挂满了象一片片树叶那样的信封的大树……。最后将所有的东西都联系在一起。
