　　巨石阵
　　闻名遐迩的巨石阵位于世界历史名城巴斯(Bath)东南部的威尔特郡，从巴斯开车只要一小时就能抵达。巨石阵属于世界文化遗产之一，有关它的建造起因和方法让考古学家、科学家们绞尽脑汁，也因此吸引了成千上万的游客来到这里目睹它的真容。
　　巨石阵属于英国最著名的史前建筑遗迹，已经在索尔兹伯里平原上矗立了上千年，整个巨石阵皆由环状沟壑和巨石组成，每一块石头大约重50吨，环形沟壑的直径近100米，有部分学者曾认为巨石阵最初可能用来记录太阳的运行。到2008年，考古研究发现在巨石阵周围有古代骨灰和不寻常数量的骨骼，考古学家猜测这曾经是古时的墓地。有关巨石阵的真正用途说法不一，可能在这过去的几千年中它被赋予了不同的用途。
