很多中国游学生在游学期间喜欢寄宿在当地人家庭，一是为了提高英语水平，二是为了熟悉西方生活习俗，更好融入当地社会。游学生最好做到入乡随俗，尊重寄宿家庭的生活习惯、作息时间和饮食习惯，理解这一点非常重要。总的来说：寄宿双方在以下六个方面容易出现矛盾：

1、作息时间：寄宿学生晚上９点以后最好不要再使用电话与人聊天，更不要很晚甚至半夜才回来，以免影响房东休息。
2、洗浴方面：寄宿学生最好搬入后就问清楚自己洗澡的合适时间，以免在时间发生冲突或没有热水。
3、朋友来访：一般情况下要征得房东同意才可以邀请朋友来访，但绝对不要留宿朋友在自己房间过夜。
4、适当帮忙：应适当参与一些家务劳动，如饭前摆放与饭后收拾餐桌，洗碗，帮助清洁房屋等。
5、练习会话：最好是找机会、找话题与房东聊天，而不能不分场合、不看脸色死缠烂打地让房东与你练习英语。
6、收拾房间：寄宿学生要对自己的房间做一次全面清洁，整理好自己的物品。
