berlin, july 18 (xinhua) -- borussia monchengladbach signed twente enschede striker luuk de jong until 2017, the club said in an official statement on wednesday.

after long back and forth, the "foals" signed dutch international striker luuk de jong, which is the most expensive transfer in club history with a transfer fee of 14 million euros.

the 21-year-old striker has played since 2009 for fc twente enschede to score 39 goals in 75 matches. since 2010 he is also part of the dutch national team, the elftal, where he scored one goal in seven caps.
