when i was young, after reading robinson crusoe for the first time ,i fell in love with the beautiful sentences describing the life on a desert island and exciting plot. i had formed an unrealistic picture of life on a desert island which must be like living in the paradise where the sun always shines, trees and flowers dance gracefully together with happily singing birds. what is more, i don't even need to go to school! i can just lie on the beach, having a wonderful sun bath. however, a few years later, when i read the book again,i felt genuinely sorry that i will probably have no chance to live my adventurous dream. but this time ,after reading the book, i have a strange but deep feeling about robinson crusoe which is three “f”s in short.

what do the three “f” mean, you may get confused about them.

well, the first “f” stands for freedom.many people consider robinson to be a sort of adventurer. however i prefer to consider him as a hero who spent all his lifetime to fight for freedom. he has an adventurous spirit,not wanting to be trapped by the society in which people cared too much about money and fame.so he decided to go sailing to set his heart and spirit free,finding what he really want to be inside of his heart. thanks to his strong desire to freedom, we have this exciting adventure story which we may have no opportunities to experience through our lives. however robinson paid a big price for his freedom. he spent more than 27 years living alone on a lonely desert island. finally he came back home,he realised to his sorrow that his parents had aready died before he could do his responsibility to them as a son. but personally, i think robinson would never regret about his trip to find for freedom, for after living with his family for a time, he began a new adventurous journey again.
