人的记忆如同身体一样，是有新陈代谢的，当长时间没有巩固一段记忆的时候，就会渐渐遗忘，所以，及时的复习巩固很重要。

　　学大教育称记忆的遗忘规律说明，学习之后的遗忘过程是不均衡的，最初的一段时间忘得非常快，以后就逐渐变慢。也就是说，如果不及时复习，所记内容在很短时间内便会遗忘许多，以后根据时间的延长，遗忘量逐渐增加，但遗忘增加的速度却逐渐慢下来。所以说，以往在考生中盛行的“车轮战”或“突击式”的复习方法是违背遗忘规律的。实际上，这两种方法都是在以往学习内容差不多完全遗忘的情况下进行复习的。所以这样的模式进行复习既不经济又无效率。如果在学校或者首次复习之后的最短时间内重新投人复习，则能够省去许多宝贵时间。但是需注意一点，及时复习的时间间隔并不是越短越好，要因人而异，另外，及时复习的方法较适合于文字材料类型的背诵，如单词、文章段落、大论述题等。
