　　现今的都市儿童，住的是高楼，看的是电视，玩的是机器玩具、电子游戏机，大自然却离他们越来越遥远。老兵少将夏令营认为也只有在难得一次的外出旅行或者在书中、画中，才能激发孩子对大自然的向往。
　　也难怪，久居都市，孩子们视野中不是高楼就是大厦，他们哪能体会到在草丛中捕捉蚂蚱、用网兜抓树上的知了、在泥土中挖蚯蚓的乐趣。从另一方面来说，现在的父母们头脑里装的、心里想的不是工作就是赚钱，很少顾得上带孩子进入大自然尽情玩耍。试想，如果孩子总是生活在相对封闭的环境中，难道不会“闷”出病来？
　　的确，现在都市儿童的怪病层出不穷，比如“游戏机综合症”、“高楼综合症”、“儿童孤独症”……，这些疾病的出现大多与他们的居住环境有关，国内外学者研究表明，长期生活在楼房内的儿童，与接近大自然居住在平房的儿童相比，易形成孤僻、脆弱、暴躁等不良性格。楼房越高，这种差异越明显。有关专家在调查中发现，生活在绿化综合卫生标准地区的儿童，在夏日有头痛头晕、恶心胸闷、易疲劳瞌睡、记忆力下降症状的人数很少。专家还指出，现在的孩子缺乏想象力、创造力，动手能力差，与孩子远离大自然、远离绿色不无关系，这也是造成绿缺乏症的病根。
　　感受自然，让孩子们探寻大自然的气息，沐浴大自然的阳光，他们会体验到无穷的乐趣，因此，父母何不抽空带孩子进入大自然，这也是给孩子的最好礼物。
