现在有许多家长为了激励孩子学习，都采取物质贿赂的方式，其实这样是不对的，这样反而让孩子更加有主动权。

　　学大夏令营经过调查表明：许多父母为了鼓励孩子更加努力的学习，几乎都倾向于采用物质奖励的方式，并且对于这种方式颇为认同，有些家长甚至说："给予孩子一定的物质刺激与激励，远远比说教一百句要奏效。"在小学阶段，父母为了让孩子好好的学习，给予孩子的多是一些"小恩小惠"，买些小玩具、给点小零食，而中学生，父母则大多以金钱或是昂贵的电子产品，如手机等作为诱饵。

　　刚开始，这种物质奖励的方式对于孩子也确实颇为奏效，孩子一回家就会好好看书，温习功课。可是，时间一长，渐渐的的变得不尽如人意了，有些孩子开始出现一种厌倦学习的情绪，有些甚至要把学习做为交换奖赏的筹码，逼得父母只好不停地增加给孩子奖金的数目，但效果仍然不大。

　　学大教育指出这种奖赏所以慢慢地失效，正是"德西效应"在起作用。父母如果让孩子养成为获得奖赏才去努力学习的习惯，孩子就体会不到出色完成一项工作之后的激动与兴奋，单纯的求知的快乐可能会逐渐降低。而对于任何事情来说，兴趣才是更大更持久的动力，一旦失去了兴趣，做事的动机就会大大下降。

　　如果学习活动本身令孩子感兴趣，父母再给孩子奖励，可能会弄巧成拙，不但不能提高孩子的学习主动性，反而会降低孩子原有的学习热情。比如，孩子自己喜欢画画，那么他并不需要父母的表扬和物质奖励，只要获得认可就足够了。如果孩子画出很美的画，父母只要关注一下就行了。但如果父母说"你画得真棒，妈妈奖励你一个本子"，这样反而会使孩子厌烦――"我的努力和成就只是为了一个本子呀？"这样反倒不利于培养孩子的成就感。
