我们常常见到有很多全天候开放的餐馆或是其他服务场所，通常都会有醒目的"24 hours"标志，这就是"24小时营业"，和"全天候"的意思差不多。不过要形容"一天到晚，全天候，时时刻刻"该怎么说呢，我们来看下面的对话：
a: are you and christina still together?
你和 christina 还在一块儿吗？
b: no. i'm not seeing her anymore. she's the kind of girl that likes to hang around 24-7. that was just too much for me, so...
没有。没跟她见面了。她是那种时时刻刻都想跟你腻在一起的那女孩子。太累了, 所以就……
"24-7" 指的是"24 hours a day, 7 days a week" 的意思，那就是"整天、随时"了。念的时候念 "twenty-four seven" 就可以了。
再给大家介绍一个关于时间的片语，on the nose，意思是"整点；完全"，例如：
a: what time is it, honey?
甜心，现在几点啦？
b: it's six pm on the nose.
晚上六点整。
除了表示时间的整点外，"on the nose"还有"完全"(= exactly) 的意思。好比你的心事被一个朋友看透了。你就可以对他说"your guess was right on the nose." (你的猜测完全正确。)
