一、be used for ＋名词或动词-ing，意为“用于”、“被用来供……”，介词for表示“用途”。例如：
a stamp is used for sending letters．邮票用来寄信。
a brush pen is used for writing．毛笔用来写字。
二、be used as ＋名词，意为“被用来当作……”，介词as表示“作为”。例如：
this room is used as their office．这个房间被用作他们的办公室。
but it is also used very widely as a foreign lan- guage in many other countries of the world．但在世界上许多其他国家里它（英语）也作为一种外语被广泛使用。
