1. bring to light 让人知道，公之于世。如:
   his enemies brought to light some foolish things he had done while young, but he was elected anyway because people trusted him.
   他的反对者把他年轻时所干的一些蠢事公之于世，但他还是当选了，因为人们信任他。
2. come to light (某事) 被人知道或发现，为人所了解。如:
   after the old woman died, it came to light that she was actually rich.

3. see the light一下子明白了，开窍； 出世，问世。如:
   i did not approve of his action, but he explained his reason and then i saw the light.
